What benefits do we get from milk?

Milk is widely recognized as a nutritious drink for people of all ages — it’s a good source of protein, healthy fats (whole milk products), calcium, vitamin D, potassium and other vitamins and minerals. These ingredients are particularly useful for growing and maintaining healthy bones and muscles.

How is powdered milk produced?

Powder Milk is prepared by drying / evaporating normal milk using Spray Drying :,Milk is sprayed into huge chamber & hot air is blown on the spray. Water content of the milk evaporates & other contents of milk fall down. It is then scrapped & sold as a powder milk.

Are any vitamins lost in the spray drying process of milk powder?

No, and drying the milk it gives it a longer shelf life.

What is the difference between whole milk and skim milk?

Skim milk is produced by separating and removing the fat content from whole milk, and then fortifying it with vitamin D and vitamin A. The fat content of whole milk is around 3.5% while skim milk contains less than 0.2% fat. Lower fat content means skim milk has fewer calories and less cholesterol compared with whole milk.

What is the difference between Cow’s Milk and Goat’s Milk?

Goat’s milk is closer to human milk and so may be the better choice for people with cow’s milk intolerances. Some other differences:

  • Goats milk fat molecules are one-fifth smaller than cow’s milk, making it easier to digest and easier on the liver.
  • Goats Milk does not form mucous, making it a good alternative for asthma and allergy sufferers.
  • Goats Milk has high amounts of phosphorus, Vitamin B12, protein and potassium.

Goats Milk has less sodium than cow’s milk.
